Strawberry Simple Syrup
A delicious sweet syrup that is easy to make and can be adding to drinks, drizzled onto pancakes or waffles, and over ice cream.

Ingredients

cup
water
(237 mL)
1
cup
granulated sugar
(200g)
8-9 sliced strawberries, cleaned and hulled
(fresh or frozen)
Instructions
Add the water and sugar into a heavy bottom saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Add the strawberries, stir, and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
8-9 sliced strawberries, cleaned and hulled
Remove from the heat and strain the liquid into a glass jar.
Refrigerate for up to 1 month.
