Learn how to make a matcha latte that's smooth, creamy, earthy, with a bit of sweetness. Matcha powder is filled with antioxidants and provides a stable caffeine boost (without jitters).
2tspsweetener of choice(i.e. maple syrup, simple syrup, agave)
¾cupmilk of choice (heated and whisked over the stove)(6 oz)
Instructions
Use a fine mesh strainer to sift matcha powder into a wide cup or tea bowl to remove clumps.
1 ½ tsp matcha powder
Add hot water and sweetener (optional) and whisk in a "W" motion with a bamboo or flat whisk for 20 seconds.
3 tbsp hot water, 2 tsp sweetener of choice
Heat milk in a pot over the stove on medium-high heat until boiling. Whisk the milk vigorously to create froth or use a handheld milk frother.
¾ cup milk of choice (heated and whisked over the stove)
Add your milk and matcha into a cup and lightly stir together. Optional, finish the drink lighting dusting matcha powder over the top of the latte using the fine mesh strainer. Serve & enjoy!
