Ingredients
1 ½tspmatcha (green tea powder)
2tbsphot water (not boiling)(175℉)
1tspsweetener of choice(optional)
¾cupmilk (heated and whisked over the stove)(substitute non-dairy milk)
Instructions
Use a fine mesh strainer to sift matcha powder into a wide cup or bowl to remove clumps.
Add sweetener (optional) and hot water and whisk in a "W" motion with a bamboo or flat whisk for 20 seconds. (Don't over whisk or it'll create bitterness, remember tea leaves never full dissolve).
Heat milk in a pot over the stove on medium-high heat until boiling. Whisk the milk vigorously to create froth or use a handheld milk frother.
Add your milk and matcha and lightly stir together. Sprinkle on additional matcha powder using a fine mesh strainer. Serve & enjoy!
