Celebrate Halloween by dipping pretzels and decorating them with edible candy eyes and colorful sprinkles! Find instructions for making monsters, pumpkins, mummies, and pretzel rods dipped in Halloween sprinkles.
Each design will start with the step below.Microwave the candy melts in a microwavable safe bowl for 30 second increments, stirring in-between. Add coconut oil or EZ thin chips if using and stir until combined and smooth. If you are using almond bark or chocolate, you won't need to add coconut oil or EZ thin. Use a fork to coat the entire pretzel and then lift it out of the bowl, shaking it to get the excess off.
Monsters
Add different sized candy eyes onto the pretzel before it dries. Let it dry completely before covering.
Pumpkins
Dip the pretzel into the orange candy melts, shaking off the excess. Add a mini green M&M to the top of the pretzel and let it dry completely.
Mummies
Dip into candy melts or almond bark and let it dry completely. Dip a knife or spoon into the candy melts and let it run off back and forth over the pretzels. Add edible candy eyes.
Halloween Sprinkle Rods
Pour the melted candy coating or chocolate into a tall glass. Add Halloween sprinkles into a tall glass. Dip the pretzel rod into the tall glass and tilt the glass slightly. Rotate the pretzel rod so that it evenly coats it.
Wait about 10-15 seconds and then dip the pretzel into the sprinkles. Tilt the glass slightly so that it covers the whole pretzel.
Storing
Let the pretzels dry completely before packaging. Put parchment paper between layers of pretzels to avoid sticking. Pretzels will last for 1 week at room temperature.
Notes
Adding coconut oil or EZ thins to candy melts helps thin it out and makes dipping smoother.
